Brown Talks Penn State

Sam Hellman from Rutgers Report recently caught up with New Jersey linebacker Buddy Brown who reviewed his recruitment and spoke specifically about Penn State. Here are his comments on the Nittany Lions.

"I haven't been doing too much since April," Brown said. "I haven't been doing any camps or visits or anything like that. I've just been trying to narrow some stuff down and look at all the schools. I want to finish my schoolwork before doing more stuff."

Brown had an early summer decision in his sights going into the spring evaluation period, but slowed things down and has a new timeframe in mind.

While Buddy Brown has indicated he has a strong interest in Rutgers, the New Jersey linebacker is also taking some visits to other programs like Viginia and Penn State, where he will attend Penn State's Advanced Skills Camp on June 16.

"I'm not totally going to just camp and everything" Brown said. "I promised the coaches I would come out. Now I'm trying to build a relationship with the coaches, the guys that are recruiting me, so I'll see when I get there. I'm just going to see when I get there, work out and learn from them. I'm excited for it."

In terms of a decision Brown said, "I'll probably have my list cut down by the middle of June and I'll be focusing on which schools I want to visit before my decision and everything. I'll probably [make a decision] in August or before school starts, probably like a late-summer decision."
