Wilkins' Top Three

Virginia DT Donta Wilkins updates his recruitment with Don Callahan of Inside Carolina, including the three schools he currently has on top of his list.

Virginia DT Donta Wilkins's scholarship offer count has now reached the double-digit mark, with schools like Boston College, Maryland, Michigan State, NC State, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech, UNC and Penn State extending invitations.

With a myriad of offers in front of him though, Wilkins currently has three schools on top of his list; Michigan State, Virginia and Penn State.

"I feel the love coming from [those three schools]," Wilkins said. "They are always talking to me and always talking to my coaches. It's somewhere where I can see myself playing at."

Wilkins has visited Penn State and is said to have a good relationship with Larry Johnson. However, the DT is not expecting to make a decision until later this year, likely mid-football season.

"I want to make sure it's right," Wilkins said. "I want to make sure it's not a decision I'm going to regret. That whole de-committing thing is not for me."

As a freshman, Wilkins earned a starting spot on Potomac's offensive line. He's been a two-way starter since his sophomore year. His junior season was his breakout year – he led the team in tackles with 90, including 27 for a loss and 11 sacks, and earning first team All-State honors on defense and second team All-State on offense.
