Check out a play that left much of Beaver Stadium groaning early in the Penn State-Ohio game. The Lions picked up a first down but they could have gotten much more.
Early in Penn State's 24-14 loss to Ohio at Beaver Stadium Saturday, Nittany Lion wideout Allen Robinson broke free behind the Bobcat secondary.
Anyone paying attention in the stands saw it. The Ohio players eventually realized it and scrambled to try to recover. No doubt the coaches in the press box saw it.
However, PSU quarterback Matt McGloin apparently missed it. McGloin checked down to a crossing Alex Kenney for a nice 11-yard gain and a third-down conversion.
But the play could have gone for much more.
