"Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame and the University of Virginia," Tyrell replied when asked to list his top teams."
He's already visited each of his favorites. Have they all extended Sales a scholarship offer?
"Notre Dame hasn't offered, but I think they're pretty close. That's just been a school I've liked for a while. Starting out, they were in my top."
Tyrell last visited Penn State on June 17-18 with McKeesport's Dontey Brown, who has already given Penn State a verbal commitment. Tyrell is also friends with other top Pennsylvania prospects including A.Q. Shipley, Anthony Morelli and Andrew Johnson to name a few. With Shipley and Brown committed to Penn State and Morelli and Johnson rumored to be headed to Pittsburgh, does that help the in-state schools?
"Definitely, you always say you want to get away from home and whatever, but the closer you get, you want to play somewhere you're going to have friends, where you're going to know people. So, I'm looking to stay in-state pretty much. I want to play somewhere I'm comfortable and where I know people. I don't want to be the only kid from Pennsylvania at the school I go to."
When does he plan to make a final decision?
"Originally, I thought about making my decision before the season. Right now, that's still what I want to do, but I'm not in a big hurry. I just want to be comfortable 100 percent with my decision. I've got my leaders and if I can make that decision in the next 2 months, I'm going to do it, but I'm not pushing myself. I'm not in a real big hurry."
