Lions Reel in a Receiver

Pennsylvania four-star pass-catcher Troy Apke has committed to the Nittany Lions for their Class of 2014.

Mt. Lebanon (Pa.) High receiver Troy Apke has committed to Penn State. Apke texted FOS recruiting reporter Greg Pickel with the information Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder, who caught 54 passes for 1,058 and a school-record 13 touchdowns last season, will be a senior next fall. He is rated a four-star prospect by FOX Sports NEXT.

He committed during an unofficial visit to Penn State.

He also held offers from Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Toledo and Bowling Green.

Apke is the fourth member of PSU's Class of 2014.
