B-W Game: Thompkins Commits

Penn State tallied a recruiting win Saturday, too, landing the North Carolina wide receiver. Thompkins was in town for the Blue-White Game.

After Saturday's Blue-White Game, Penn State coach Bill O'Brien joked that it was bound to be a good day for the Nittany Lions because there was no way they could lose.

It turned out to be a good day in another way, too. PSU picked up its fifth commitment for the Class of 2014 when North Carolina wideout DeAndre Thompkins made his pledge after the game. He announced it via Twitter.

Thompkins was on the sideline before the game and then watched the action from the stands.

We will catch up with the FOX Sports NEXT three-star prospect after his visit is complete.

Thompkins also holds offers from Notre Dame, North Carolina, N.C. State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and West Virginia, to name a few.
