O'Connor Opts for Lions

It was no secret that Michael O'Connor liked Penn State. Now, it's no longer a secret that it is the school he'll attend after ending his recruitment Saturday.

Michael O'Connor liked Penn State from the moment he stepped on its University Park campus during an unofficial visit in March.

So much, in fact, that he announced Saturday that he intends to be a Nittany Lion and return to campus in the future.

O'Connor became the 11th commitment of Penn State's class of 2014 Saturday afternoon, announcing his verbal pledge over offers from Vanderbilt, Missouri, Michigan State, Rutgers, and others. He is the first quarterback to join State's class of 2014.

"I'll be spending the next 4 years in Happy Valley, just commited to Penn State!" O'Connnor tweeted Saturday. "Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way!! #WeAre"
