Bill O'Brien saved his funniest line for last during a press conference at Beaver Stadium Thursday. A reporter wanted to know whether rookie quarterbacks Tyler Ferguson and Christian Hackenberg would be hurt by the lack of a veteran presence at the position.
The two are fighting for the starting job during training camp.
The question: "Does it affect your quarterbacks one way or the other that there really isn't a seasoned (Division I) quarterback on the roster that they can kind of observe and learn from?"
The answer: "No. They've got a seasoned coach they can learn from."
Check out the video above to see O'Brien working with the QBs at practice Thursday. Ferguson, a junior college transfer and sophomore, is No. 5. Hackenberg, a true freshman, is No. 14.
