FOS TV: Center Ty Howle

The offensive lineman dubbed as being "nasty" by Penn State coach Bill O'Brien met the media this week. See what he had to say on a variety of topics.

During his weekly press conference at Beaver Stadium Tuesday, Penn State coach Bill O'Brien was asked about first-year starting center Ty Howle.

"Ty is an important part of our football team," O'Brien said. "(He is a) tough, smart, nasty guy on the football field. … He's built low to the ground and he's a strong guy."

And what makes Howle so nasty on the field?

"You'd have to ask him," O'Brien said.

As fate would have it, Howle was waiting just outside the Media Room at that moment, and was told of O'Brien's comments. So when the center took the main podium after his coach, he was ready for the first question.

Hardly nasty with the press, Howle seemed to enjoy talking football and more. Check out the session above.
