Three Former Nittany Lions Make Pro Bowl

Three former Nittany Lions have been honored as selections to the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl. Defensive standouts NaVorro Bowman, Tamba Hali and Cameron Wake have all been named to the Pro Bowl for their impressive seasons.

Three former Penn State defensive standouts have been selected to the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl. Here is a rundown of the honorees.

NaVorro Bowman, LB, 49ers Bowman was an integral contributor to the Niner defense in all 15 games this season. This is Bowman's second Pro Bowl (2012, 2013). This season he was the 49ers' leading tackler with 135 takedowns (111 solo), 4.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception for an 89-yard touchdown return.

Tamba Hali, LB, Chiefs Hali started all 15 games this season and was AFC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season. He grabbed 11.0 sacks for -78.5 yards. He also has 46 tackles (39 solo), including 12 for loss, 12 QB pressures, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries (one returned 11 yards for a touchdown), an interception returned for a 10-yard touchdown and a pass defensed. This is Hali's third pro Bowl (2011, 2012, 2013).

Cameron Wake, DE, Dolphins This season Wake saw action in 14 games grabbing 35 tackles (28 solo), 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery. This is Wake's third Pro Bowl (2010, 2012, 2013).
