Lions, Wolverines Ready to Light it Up

Penn State will be the opponent in the first Big Ten night game at Michigan Stadium.

Penn State will help make history when it travels to Michigan Oct. 11. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. Eastern, making it the first Big Ten game to be played at night in the history of Michigan Stadium.

It will be only the third night game in the history of the stadium. The contest is set to be carried by ESPN or ESPN2.

The Nittany Lions and Wolverines are both members of the new Big Ten East Division.

This marks the second announced kickoff for a 2014 PSU game. The season-opener against UCF in Dublin will kick at 8:30 a.m. Eastern, as new coach James Franklin makes his debut with the Lions.

PSU has played at least one regular-season night game in each of the past 14 seasons.
