Titans Grab Jones in Round No. 4

Penn State standout was the 11th defensive tackle taken in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was the second Nittany Lion selected.

Penn State defensive tackle DaQuan Jones was projected as an early-to-middle round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and that's pretty much where he landed.

The Tennessee Titans nabbed Jones with the 12th pick of the fourth round. He was the 112th pick overall. If there was any surprise in the timing of his selection, it was that Jones was the 11th defensive tackle to hear his name called.

Most analysts ranked him among the top 10 at his position.

Jones had a breakout season for the Nittany Lions in 2013, with a team-high 11 tackles for loss to go along with three sacks and 56 stops overall. He had a total of 36 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in his first three seasons in the program.

PSU has now had at least one defensive linemen taken in eight of the last nine drafts.

Jones joins receiver Allen Robinson (second round, Jacksonville) and guard John Urschel (fifth round, Baltimore) as the Lions to be taken in the draft so far.
