Penn State has an exciting new coaching staff, led by James Franklin, and it's generating buzz throughout the college football world.
So it is about time the hottest online community for Nittany Lion fans creates a little buzz of its own.
Welcome to the new-look FightOnState.com, as at long last we've freshened up things to make them easier on the eyes and -- more importantly -- more functional with the tools you use to access the site.
This is our latest and greatest front-page refresh, which will make the site more compatible for community members who visit via mobile devices and more aesthetically pleasing for folks checking out things from their desktops.
The new look will also allow us to better utilize the outstanding work of our award-winning photographer, Harvey Levine.
It may look dramatic, especially when you consider we have not had a major redesign since Scout.com launched in the early 2000s (we're trying to forget about the botched Fox attempt at an overhaul), but rest assured this is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to improvements at the site.
Truth be told, under Fox's ownership from 2005 until late last year, Scout.com was largely ignored. But last November, the company was purchased by the North American Membership Group, and since then resources for improvements and even emergency fixes to outdated infrastructure have been pouring in.
In the coming weeks and months, you will see even more improvements. They will include updates to our forums, new video technology, and continued upgrades to the overall look and feel of the site.
And they will continue to do so. In the coming weeks and months, you will see even more improvements. They will include updates to our forums, new video technology, and continued upgrades to the overall look and feel of the site.
The Scout.com Nebraska site, BigRedReport.com, went to the new-look front page for beta testing weeks ago, and we encouraged FOS community members to visit the site and to provide feedback.
However, now that we have made the move, we encourage you to continue to provide your input and to ask whatever questions you might have. You can do so on our TAP forum.
Your feedback will help make YOUR community the best it can be, which is always our goal.
The Staff of FOS.
