Four-Star Tackle Talks Two Day Trip

The Garden State blocker wrapped up a two day visit at University Park Thursday afternoon. He talks about the trip inside.

Grant Newsome has just two visits set so far this June. It may be the only two he takes before deciding.

The Lawrenceville, N.J, Prep four-star tackle left Penn State Thursday afternoon, drove to his home in Virginia, and waited to board a plane to Michigan.

Newsome spent Wednesday and Thursday at University Park with his family. Much of that time was spent getting to know the Lions' coaching staff better.

"It was great visit," Newsome wrote in a message to FOS. "I enjoyed everything about it, and I look forward to talking further with coach Franklin and his staff."

The junior said the chatter was the highlight of his visit.

"Just getting to speak with the coaches for an extended period of time," he wrote when asked about the standout moment of the trip.

Newsome will spend Friday and Saturday visiting the Wolverines, and a decision could come as soon as next week.
