The Harrisburg Patriot-News reported Thursday morning that star Harrisburg, Pa., Bishop McDevitt back Andre Robinson would miss "an extended period of time" with "a significant lower-leg injury."
After a Thursday morning checkup, though, the Penn State Class of 2015 verbal commitment isn't in as bad a shape as originally thought.
"Just a minor injury," Robinson told FOS in a message Thursday morning. "I could play this week if I had to. I'll sit this week and go from there."
Robinson confirmed the injury, a bone bruise around his knee, happened in the Crusaders' 56-0 romp over Steelton-Highspire last Friday night. The PSU pledge carried for 132 yards and three scores, putting him just nine touchdowns away from the program record.
McDevitt, and Robinson, will travel to State College this week for a clash with the Little Lions at State High. The back is expected to stay over and attend Penn State's home-opener with Akron Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
