The Blue & White Society and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics are teaming up to host the traditional Rally in the Valley football pep rally on Friday, Oct. 24, in Rec Hall, immediately following the womens volleyball match vs. Michigan.
Rally in the Valley will begin after the No. 7 Penn State womens volleyball Dig Pink match, which begins at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised by BTN. The first 5,500 fans who either remain at the volleyball match or arrive at Rec Hall will be admitted to the rally.
Rally in the Valley will feature PSU football coach James Franklin, the Penn State cheerleaders, Lionettes dance team, the Penn State Blue Band and the Nittany Lion. PSU basketball coach Patrick Chambers will open the event. A total of 5,000 limited edition Penn State White Out posters will be given away at the pep rally, as well as shakers and T-shirts while supplies last.
The doors to Rec Hall will open Friday at 6:00 p.m. for the volleyball match, which is a ticketed event. The Penn State bag policy will be in effect for the womens volleyball match and the pep rally.
The Nittany Lion football will be facing the Buckeyes in an 8:00 p.m. contest in a sold out Beaver Stadium that will air nationally on ABC, the Penn State Sports Network and GoPSUsports.com. Penn State and Ohio State will be meeting for the 22nd consecutive year and 30th time overall, but for the first time as Big Ten East Division rivals.
It will also be an all-stadium Penn State White Out game. All Nittany Lions fans are encouraged to wear white to Fridays pep rally and Saturday nights nationally televised duel with the Buckeyes.
