PA Southpaw Holding at Two Offers

QB Perry Patterson will soon be starting his 2nd season at McCaskey High in Lancaster, PA. The talented southpaw threw 92 of 191 passes last year for 1,788 yards and 16 touchdowns. In addition, he ran for another 663 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has 4.6 40-yard speed and a cannon for an arm.

Perry is not only outstanding on the football field, he excels on the basketball court as well. He played a major role in helping McCaskey win its first Lancaster-Lebanon League title in 7 years. His favorite sport is basketball but it is his football talent that separates him from most high school athletes in the nation.

"I have offers from Syracuse and Kansas State," said Perry. "Syracuse, Miami, Virginia Tech and Tennessee are all recruiting me pretty hard right now. I'd say that Syracuse, Tennessee and Georgia Tech are my favorites. Miami and Virginia Tech are the others in my top five."

Perry attended summer camps at Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

"Syracuse was the best instruction-wise and the Virginia camp was the most competitive with guys like Marcus Vick and Anthony Martinez there," said Patterson.

Perry is currently planning to take his five official visits to his top five teams. He reaffirmed that he would like to play in the south where the weather is warmer.

According to Perry, Penn State did not offer him a scholarship.
