Nittany Lions Dealt A Strong Card

Veteran Stanford O-Lineman Reihner will transfer to Penn State after graduating. He will be eligible to play in 2015.

Penn State coach James Franklin and his staff added another much-needed offensive lineman to the program Tuesday night. But he won't be a member of the Nittany Lions' Class of 2015 that signs Wednesday.

Kevin Reihner actually went through the recruiting process several years ago, and the interior lineman from Scranton (Pa.) Prep signed with Stanford in February of 2011.

In March, he will graduate from Stanford with a degree in management science and engineering. In May, he will transfer to Penn State, where he will be immediately eligible for the 2015 season -- his final year of eligibility.

Post-graduate transfers do not have to sit out a season under NCAA rules.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder redshirted as a true freshman in 2011, then played in one and three games the following two seasons, respectively. He played in six games last season as a backup center.

He visited Penn State in mid-January and Tuesday night announced he would be joining the Lions.

Reihner went to the same school as current PSU redshirt freshman guard Noah Beh.
