Penn State Video: Tommy Gunning It

Get a look at Penn State true freshman quarterback Stevens in spring practice action.

Freshman quarterback Tommy Stevens enrolled at Penn State in January to get a jump on his college career. How are things going for the Indiana native?

He has already added about 15 pounds to his 6-foot-4 frame, and is now tipping the scales at nearly 200 pounds. On the field, he has been getting third- and fourth-team reps, behind returning starter Christian Hackenberg and sophomore Trace McSorley. Walk-on Billy Fessler is also in the QB mix.

At Wednesday's practice, Hackenberg spend a significant amount of time warming up with Stevens. You can get a look at Stevens (No. 4) making a variety of throws in the video above.
