Another Saturday Night Special for PSU-OSU

NIttany Lions and Buckeyes will square off in prime time for the fourth straight season. The game moves back to Columbus in 2015.

Penn State and Ohio State are two of the biggest television draws in college football. When the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes square off against one another, that drawing power explodes.

Which is why for the fourth straight season, the annual Penn State-Ohio State game will take place in prime time and be carried by a member of the ABC/ESPN family of networks. This year's tilt is slated for Oct. 17 in Columbus, and will kick off at 8 p.m.

The amazing thing about the string of night national TV games in the series is that it happened even as both storied programs were dealing with NCAA sanctions. Both programs are free from sanctions now, though.

Last year's game saw the eventual national champion Buckeyes eke out a 31-24 double overtime victory against PSU before a sellout crowd at Beaver Stadium.

This is the second announced TV appearance and night game for the Nittany Lions for the 2015 season. Penn State will also face Rutgers under the lights at Beaver Stadium Sept. 19. The game will be carried by BTN with the exact kickoff time to be announced.

Every PSU game over the past 10 seasons has been televised, and 253 of the Lions' last 255 outings have been on TV.
