Nittany Lions Headline Hall of Fame Ballot

Three former Nittany Lions listed in the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

Former Penn State players Kerry Collins, Steve Wisniewski and Bill Bowes have been named to the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

Collins, who played quarterback for PSU from 1991 to 1994, won the Davey O'Brien and Maxwell Awards and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 1994. He was also a consensus first team All-American that year.

Wisniewski, who played guard at Penn State from 1985 to 1988 and was first team All-American in 1988. He was also a member of Penn State's undefeated 1986 National Championship team.

Bowes a PSU player from 1962 to 1964, is named as a Divisional Coach on the ballot. He coached at New Hampshire from 1972 to 1998, winning more games than any other coach in Yankee Conference history, winning 11 conference titles.

Member voting for Hall of Fame honors will take place until is June 20 with the honoring of the class on January 8, 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
