Allen Adds Offer

Fight On State gets the latest from Lassister (Ga.) defensive back Derrik Allen and his Penn State offer.

Penn State put their name in the hat for 2018 defensive back Derrik Allen with Wednesday's offer.

Even thought Allen's recruitment is still in the early stages because he's only a sophomore-to-be at Lassister (Ga.) High School, but he has received several high-level offers including: Kentucky, Georgia and Louisville, while garnering interest from SEC West foe Auburn. Allen spoke to FOS on his newest offer Penn State earlier today.

"I was at Penn State satellite camp last night in Atlanta. Earlier today, Coach James Franklin and Coach Terry Smith offered me a scholarship to Penn State," Allen said.

He continued, I'm excited about the offer. It just tells me that I have to keep working and continue polishing my craft."

The 6-foot-1, 186 pound defensive-back said he didn't know much at PSU at this moment, but it was a school he is interested in and wanting to know more about. He also told us at FOS his dad and him will be visiting Penn State this fall.
