Nittany Lions, Owls Land on ESPN at 3:30 p.m.

Penn State’s 2015 season-opener in Philly will be nationally televised.

There is apparently some national appeal to Penn State's 2015 season-opener against Temple in Philadelphia.

Wednesday, it was announced that the Nittany Lions and Owls will square off on ESPN. The nationally televised game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 5.

The Pennsylvania clash will go head to head with BYU at Nebraska (ABC) and Virginia at UCLA (FOX).

This is the fourth announced TV game for the Nittany Lions. The others include:

Sept. 12, Buffalo, noon, ESPN2 or ESPNU

Sept. 19, Rutgers, 8 p.m., BTN

Oct. 17, @ Ohio State, 8 p.m., ABC or ESPN or ESPN2

The start time for the Oct. 10 Homecoming game with Indiana has also been set (for noon) but TV arrangements are TBA.
