The Loe-Down On PA 2017 DB

Johnstown product reflects on Penn State camp experience, updates recruitment.

Penn State played host to Johnstown (Pa.) High cornerback Exree Loe at last Friday's camp. The 6-foot, 171-pound junior-to-be only has one offer (from Pitt), but is getting strong interest from Penn State, West Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Toledo and Cincinnati.

Loe said he hasn't talked to coaches at Virginia or Virginia Tech yet. But he had a chance to work closely with several Nittany Lion staffers.

“It was great,” Loe said of the camp. “I had good testing during the drills and some one-on-one (work) with Coach (Bob) Shoop, Coach (Terry) Smith and Coach (James) Franklin. All three coaches told me they were really interested in me.”

Loe said he will visit Pitt after the current dead period ends. A return trip to PSU is also in the works, but he hasn't set a date yet.

”I believe an offer is close after my camp performance,” Loe said.

Here are the numbers Loe reported from various drills:

40-Yard Dash: 4.6 seconds
Broad Jump: 8-10
Triple Broad jump: 28-8
Shuttle: 4.08 seconds

Loe doesn't have a top five currently. He wants to make his college decision the August before his senior season.
