Penn State’s Zettel Tackles Tough Questions

The Nittany Lions’ star DT was “grilled” by an interesting interviewer Saturday.

As far as Anthony Zettel is concerned, he and Penn State teammate Austin Johnson comprise the nation's best defensive tackle tandem.

“I do believe that,” Zettel said at PSU's Lift For Life Saturday. “Not being biased or anything, but I think we have a lot to offer. He helps me a lot, I help him a lot -- just us competing with each other every day. I don't think there's a better duo in the country.”

Zettel, a fifth-year senior, is a returning first-team All-Big Ten pick whose penchant for big plays has made him a popular choice for 2015 preseason All-America honors. Johnson, a redshirt junior nicknamed “A.J.,” has been lauded by Nittany Lion coaches and teammates for doing a lot of the dirty work that allows Zettel and other defenders to make plays.

Both appear to have serious NFL potential.

They'll have a chance to prove themselves as the nation's best D-tackle tandem this season. In the meantime, before Saturday's charity event, they may well have staked a claim as the funniest duo from their position.

While Zettel was being interviewed by a group of reporters, something interesting happened. Check out the video below to see who began asking questions and where it all headed.
