LB/DE Commitment Not a Shocker

As expected, Philly product Shaka Toney ends his recruitment by picking Penn State.

Things are cooking at Penn State this weekend, as the Lasch Bash has produced a second commitment for the NIttany Lions.

While on campus for the barbecue social event for recruits, Philadelphia linebacker/defensive end Shaka Toney committed to the Nittany Lions. Toney held a host of offers but was looking most seriously as PSU, North Carolina, Duke and Pitt.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pounder has a similar build and skill set to Cameron Brown, who committed to Penn State earlier Saturday. Both are long, athletic types who project as either outside linebackers or defensive ends in college, depending on how they fill out.
