Penn State Introduces First Fan Council

See who made the cut to serve in an advisory capacity to the Nittany Lion athletic department.

Penn State introduced the 25 members of its new Fan Council in an interesting way Monday. The school posted the names on the giant video boards in Beaver Stadium, following the message, “Penn State Athletics welcomes all the members of our inaugural Fan Council.”

Athletic director Sandy Barbour unveiled the idea for a Fan Council earlier this year. The group will be tasked with providing feedback on things like game day experience, communications, facilities, sales and ticketing, and redemption and retention.

This group will serve a one-year term, through July of 2016.
