Penn State Media Day Image Gallery

Check out the photos from the Nittany Lions’ season-opening press event at Beaver Stadium.

The Penn State football team kicked off preseason camp Thursday, as James Franklin put his troops through drills on the outdoor practice fields near Lasch Building.

Earlier in the day, the Nittany Lions held Media Day over at Beaver Stadium.

After Franklin and his coordinators held press conferences, junior quarterback Christian Hackenberg took the main dais.

Then the rest of the team arrived, and headed to the field to conduct interviews with the media. As usual, each position was designated to a different area. And veterans and fresh faces alike answered questions, and generally had a good time interacting with the press (and each other).

Who wasn't there? Penn State's first-year players. That included all true freshmen as well as junior college transfer offensive tackle Paris Palmer.

We've already begun posting stories and videos from Media Day, and more will be on the way in coming days. But we also wanted to highlight FOS photographer Harvey Levine's work.

So take a look below.
