Class of 2017 linebacker Santino Marchiol is flying under the radar on the Penn State recruiting scene.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound four-star outside linebacker from Cherry Creek High in Greenwood Village, Colo., is getting major interest in his recruitment. Marchiol holds 29 offers, and one is from the Nittany Lions.
“I speak to the (PSU) coaches often” Marchiol said. “I think Coach (Brent) Pry is the best. I think very highly of him. … I would love to come to make it to a game this year in Happy Valley.”
He added, “Penn State is definitely one of my top programs. I love Penn State and their coaching staff.”
There is no rush to make a decision, though.
“I am enjoying the process right now,” Marchiol said. “I now have 29 offers and I want my family being a huge part of my decision. I am taking the process day by day.”
