IMG's Jordan Anthony Adjusting To Change

The former Maryland high school standout is now playing his football in Florida. How has the change gone?

Maryland native Jordan Anthony decided over the summer to transfer to IMG Academy in Florida. Needless to say, it has been a significant change for the four-star Class of 2017 linebacker previously from Good Counsel High in Olney.

And not just in terms of location.

“It’s different out here than it was at Good Counsel,” the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder said. “I’m a reserve linebacker here, but now I am playing the running back position, too.”

That has not impacted his recruitment, though.

“Since my transfer to IMG, I’ve received offers from Oklahoma and Nebraska,” Anthony said. “I haven’t been to that part of the country yet, but I plan on visiting both schools this season.”

As for Penn State, Anthony said he plans to be back in Happy Valley for the Michigan White Out game in November. He reports that he has not been in touch with Lion staff since he visited campus in July.

He also plans to visit Auburn this season.

Anthony still had not named favorites, or any sort of top five or 10, so don’t expect a decision anytime soon.
