Penn State Announces First Stripe Out Game

Penn State will be holding its first "Stripe Out" when Rutgers visits Beaver Stadium this season.

After popularizing the concept of a “White Out” at Beaver Stadium over the past decade, Penn State is attempting a promotion of a different stripe this season.

The Nittany Lions’ Sept. 19 night contest vs. Rutgers (8 p.m., BTN) will be the program’s first “Stripe Out” game. The concept had been rumored but was not officially announced until Monday evening.

Fans are being asked to wear blue or white clothing, depending on their section. All students are being asked to wear white for the game.
