TRENDING: Penn State's "Big Toe" Practice Highlights

Nittany Lion heavy-hitting kicker Joey "Big Toe" Julius began trending on social media because of his ... uh ... unique look. But you haven't see anything until you've seen the "Toe" in practice.

You can count the positives coming out of Penn State’s brutal 27-10 loss to Temple in Philadelphia Saturday on one hand. Or maybe that should be one foot.

Redshirt freshman kicker Joey Julius, aka “Big Toe,” had a nice afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field in his first college action. He opened the scoring in the game with his initial career field goal (a 34-yarder). He nailed his lone extra-point attempt. And he averaged 65 yards on his kickoffs, with one touchback and a total of 36 return yards allowed.

Meanwhile, when social media got a look at him, well, things went kind of viral.

Julius is listed at 5-foot-10, which may be a bit generous. And he checks in at 250 pounds.

But if you thought he was something to behold in a game, well, you ought to see him in practice. As if to accentuate his build, he always wears the bottom of his jersey tucked up under his shoulder pads. Beneath the pads, he wears a T-shirt with the sleeves cut off.

Add in a Fu Manchu mustache, and he sure is easy to spot.

As you can see in the video above, teammates seems to have a lot of fun cheering on “Toe,” especially when a certain head coach tries to rattle him. Also, listen closely for what one fellow Nittany Lion says at the end of the video.
