Grieving DT Zettel Does Nittany Lions Proud

Penn State's senior defensive tackle leads the team in tackles a day after losing his father to cancer.

Penn State defensive tackle Anthony Zettel's father passed away Friday following a long fight with cancer. Terry Zettel was 46.

Saturday, the younger Zettel took the field for the Nittany Lions, and came through with a team-high seven tackles to go along with 2.5 tackles for loss, a fumble recovery, a pass break-up and half a sack.

Which came as a surprise to … absolutely nobody in the PSU locker room.

Though Zettel was understandably not made available to the media after the game, head coach James Franklin and several Nittany Lions talked about his inspiring performance. Check it out above.
