Penn State fans thanked sophomore linebacker Jason Cabinda for his impressive performance in Beaver Stadium against Army. Cabinda has a heck of day with a game high 14 tackles, six of which were solo, two tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.
Cabinda not only had a myriad of takedowns on the field, but also takled votes, grabbing 72.9 percent of fan ballots, running away from the competition for the honor. Penn State fans who braved the cold, wet conditions placed second with 13.5 percent of the ballots.
The Fight On State Player of the Game honor is the first and longest running Penn State player award given by Nittany Lion fans. Voting is conducted exclusviely at FightOnState.com after Penn State football games.
