Nittany Nation Fans Name Christian Hackenberg Their Player of the Indiana Game

Penn State fans thank Christian Hackenberg for his homecoming performance by naming him the Fight On State Player of the Indiana Game.

Penn State fans thanked junior quarterback Christian Hackenberg for his homecoming performance in Beaver Stadium against Indiana. Hackenberg went 21 for 39 for 262 yards with two passing touchdowns, nine carries for 21 yards and two running scores and no interceptions.

Hackenberg not had a strong performance in the game against the Hoosiers, but also with the Nittany Nation vote, grabbing 69 percent of the fan ballots. This was Hackenberg's first FOS Player of the Game honor this season.

The Fight On State Player of the Game honor is the first and longest running Penn State player award given by Nittany Lion fans. Voting is conducted exclusviely at FightOnState.com after Penn State football games.
