Nittany Lions Praise Rookie RB Barkley After Big Game

Penn State's freshman standout returned from an ankle injury to post 194 rushing yards vs. No. 1 Ohio State in the Horseshoe.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Penn State fell apart late in what became a 38-10 loss to No. 1 Ohio State here Saturday night. But the defeat wasn't for a lack of effort by Nittany Lion rookie RB Saquon Barkley.

Looking completely comfortable on the big stage, Barkley ripped the Buckeyes for 194 yards on 26 carries, averaging 7.5 yards per attempt. He also had a 44-yard touchdown wiped out by a hold.

So while the mood was anything but cheery in the PSU media room after the game, everyone had good things to say about the rookie's performance and about the fact that he was back after missing two-plus games due to injury. See what they had to say above.
