Franklin Refuses To "Wave A White Flag"

The Penn State coach said he kept banged up starting quarterback Christian Hackenberg in a blowout loss to No. 1 Ohio State because he did not want to send a message to the team that he was giving up.

Penn State coach James Franklin left starting quarterback Christian Hackenberg in last weekend's 38-10 loss to No. 1 Ohio State in Columbus, even after the game was out of hand and even after it was clear Hackenberg was hobbling around after being hit multiple times.

At PSU's Tuesday press conference, Franklin was asked if he second-guessed the decision not to replace Hackenberg. Check out his answer above.
