Penn State fans thanked sophomore wide receiver Chris Godwin for his impressive road performance in Baltimore against Maryland. Godwin was instrumental in the Nittany Lion victory, pulling in four key catches for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Godwin talked about his performance, saying, “It’s definitely awesome. You realize you have to go out and make some plays that you’re capable of doing, and be able to do that. … When the ball’s in the air, it’s our mindset that it’s our ball. Whether it’s a 50-50 catch or not, it’s our ball, so we have to make whatever adjustment needs to be made to make the catch.”
Godwin not had a strong performance in the game against the Terrapins, but also with the Nittany Nation vote, grabbing 70 percent of the fan ballots. This was Godwin's first FOS Player of the Game honor this season.
