Penn State-Northwestern: Franklin PC

See everything the Nittany Lion coach had to say after a last-minute loss to the Wildcats in Evanston.

EVANSTON, Ill. — Even ever-positive head coach James Franklin had a difficult time finding a silver lining in Penn Starte's dramatic 23-21 loss to Northwestern here Saturday.

In his postgame press conference, Franklin owned a glaring clock managment decision in the game's final minute. But he rightfully pointed out that a lack of execution on offense, defense and special teams also came into play.

The Lions fells to 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the Big Ten heading into their bye week.

Northwestern improved to 7-2 and 3-2.
