Penn State Lands Nation's Top Wrestler

Cael Sanderson lands the nation's No. 1 wrestling prospect, Mark Hall, over Arizona, State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin.

The nation's No. 1 wrestler, Mark Hall, named Penn State as his future collegiate home. The five-time Minnesota state wrestling champion selected the Nittany Lions during the first day of the early signing period. Hall went 42-0 last season and is 229-4 over his career.

The American Family Insurance All-USA Wrestler of the Year last year is also 35-0 in state tournament matches with 20 pins.

During the announcement Hall expained his decision to don Blue and White, saying, “For me, the wrestling is a big part but of it, but it’s not going to be there forever. Going out to Penn State, it felt like a home to me...I felt the most comfortable at Penn State.”

Hall selected PSU over Arizona State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
