Women's Soccer Wins National Championship

Penn State's Women's Soccer squad wins its first National Championship in dominating fashion.

Outscoring tournament opponets 20-0, Penn State's Women's Soccer team was a dominating force en route to the 2015 National Championship. This marked the first time the Nittany Lions won the women's soccer national title and was also the Big Ten's first championship in the sport.

Seventeen of the 20 goals in the 2015 NCAA Tournament were from underclassmen.

PSU outlasted Duke in a 1-0 victory where senior Raquel Rodriguez scored her sixth goal of the season in the 72nd minute of the match. The shutout was Penn State's eight straight and squad's 15th in the season.

Of the Nittany Lions' 20 tournament goals, 17 were scored by underclassmen.

Lion players Frannie Crouse, Emily Ogle, Kaleigh Riehl, Raquel Rodriguez and Mallory Weber were named to the College Cup All-Tournament team. Rodriguez was also named the Most Outstanding Player on Offense of the 2015 College Cup.
