Barkley Named USA Today Freshman All-American

Penn State's true frosh sensation brings home a major award.

Penn State freshman rushing sensation Saquon Barkley was named to USA Today's Freshman All-American Team. The running back was the only Big Ten player selected on offense and one of two conference selections overall, with Ohio State DL Sam Hubbard as the other.

Barkley is the second leading freshman running back nationally in yards per game with 100.7, behind his co-Freshman All-American RB selection, Mike Warren of Iowa State (111.6 yards per game).

With the TaxSlayer Bowl still to play, the Nittany Lion has already set the school rookie rushing record with 1,007 yards this season.
