Penn State Wrestlers Derail Rider 38-4

Penn State's wrestling squad advances to 6-0 with dominating road victory over Rider.

Penn State's No. 1 wrestling squad had a dominating showing on the road against Rider to head into the winter break. The Nittany Lions won nine of 10 matches to post a 38-4 victory this past weekend. With head coach Cael Sanderson and assistant coach Casey Cunningham in Las Vegas with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club for the Senior Nationals, assistant coach Cody Sanderson served as head man for PSU at Rider on Saturday.

125: No. 4 Nico Megaludis (PSU) defeated Brenden Calas by technical fall.

133: No. 6 Jordan Conaway (PSU) defeated Zach Valcarce with an 18-4 (major decision).

141: Kade Moss (PSU) defeated Paul Kirchner 13-6.

149: No. 1 Zain Retherford (PSU) defeated No. 14 BJ Clagon 2-1.

157: No. 3 Jason Nolf (PSU) defeated No. 20 Chad Walsh 18-7 (major decision).
