Penn State Seniors Get Carried Away At Practice

Check out the new Nittany Lion tradition that honors the team's veteran players in a fun way.

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — Penn State held its final practice of the 2015 season here Thursday, and before it was over all of the Nittany Lion seniors got a little carried away.

We mean that literally.

Under second-year coach James Franklin, PSU has started a tradition of having underclassmen (and others) carry each senior across the field following the last practice of the year. The seniors pick which teammate(s) they’d like to carry them.

It was … ahem … a load of fun.

Check out some of the action above, and be sure to pay close attention to the guy carrying DT Anthony Zettel.

BTW — the Lions have also continued the program's long tradition of players swapping jerseys duriing the final practice, so don't be confused by the numbers you see.
