Hackenberg Declares for NFL Draft

Penn State junior quarterback Christian Hackenberg declares for NFL draft.

Christian Hackenberg was knocked out of the TaxSlayer Bowl with a shoulder injury that was determined not to be serious at the close of the game. Immediately following the game Hackenberg met with the media and stated his intention to forego his final year of eligibility at Penn State and enter the NFL draft.

This ended nearly a year of speculation as to whether the junior quarterback would opt to stay in Happy Valley or depart for the profesional ranks.

Prior to his injury, Hackenberg went 8 for 14 for 139 yards and one interception.
