Penn State Wrestling Wins Southern Scuffle

Penn State wrestling squad wins sixth straight Southern Scuffle with a 25-point victory thanks to five individual champions.

The Nittany Lions continued its dominance in the Southern Scuffle crowing five individual champions for its sixth straight championship at the event. Penn State scored 183 points in the victory, 25 more than second place Oklahoma State. 

Penn State's five indivdual champions were

Nico Megaludis - 125 / senior

Zain Rutherford - 141 / sophomore

Jason Nolf - 157 redshirt freshman

Bo Nickal - 174 / redshirt freshman

Morgan McIntosh - 197 / senior

Nickal was also honored as the Southern Scuffle's Outstanding Wrestler.

"They had a really nice day," head coach Cael Sanderson said. "Obviously we have some weight classes we have to score a few more points in but our guys are wrestling well. And we have young guys wrestling well with a lot of room to improve, so it's exciting."
