Penn State Class of 2016 Early Enrollees On Campus

Four prospects graduated early from high school and are now officially part of the Nittany Lion program.

With graduation, early exits to the NFL and transfers making a dent in the Penn State roster, the Nittany Lions began to receive reinforcements Monday.

That’s when four Class of 2016 members started taking classes at University Park as early enrollees.

Tight end Danny Dalton, offensive linemen Alex Gellerstedt and Connor McGovern, and quarterback Jake Zembiec are all officially Penn State football players. They became bound to the university when they enrolled, so they will not have to sign letters of intent when the rest of the class makes it official Feb. 3.

This means we now have their official heights and weights, as well.

Dalton, from Marshfield (Mass.) High, checked in a 6-foot-4, 237. He turns 19 in September.

Gellerstedt, from Dublin (Ohio) Coffman High, is 6-7, 274. He turns 18 in February.

McGovern, from Larksville, Pa. (Lake-Lehman High), is 6-5, 312. He turns 19 in November.

Zembiec, from Aquinas Institute in Rochester, N.Y., is 6-3, 202. He turns 19 in September.
