Penn State Commit Dwumfour Visiting Michigan

The New Jersey defensive tackle is checking out the Wolverines this weekend with a trip to Happy Valley scheduled for Jan. 22.

Three-star defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour tweeted out his plans for the next couple of weeks.

The Penn State commit plans to visit Michigan officially from the Jan. 15-17. Dwumfour has been committed to Penn State since June of last year, but that hasn't stopped the Wolverines in pursuing the DePaul Catholic (Wayne, N.J.) standout.

"I'm visiting Michigan officially, because I am interested in them and wanted to see what they have to offer." Dwumfour said. "There is a chance I could flip my commitment to Michigan. I wouldn't be visiting them if there wasn't a chance."

Dwumfour has an offer from the Wolverines.

As for his commitment to Penn State, he said, "As of now, I am committed to PSU."

His official to Penn State is slated for the weekend of Jan. 22.

The Nittany Lion staff visited Dwumfour Thursday and is aware of his plan to check out Michigan.

"The visit with the Nittany Lion staff went well,” he said. “They know I will be officially visiting them (next) weekend.”
