The on-again, off-again relationship between Detroit cornerback Lavert Hill and Penn State appears to be on again. Kind of.
Hill was a longtime Nittany Lion commit before de-committing in late November. By nearly every account, his final decision was going to come down to a battle between nearby Michigan and Michigan State.
But things got interesting late this week, when the King High standout canceled a scheduled official visit to USC and instead opted to head to Happy Valley for an official.
According to Scout.com’s Allen Trieu, Hill and King coach Dale Harvel left Detroit Friday afternoon for the trip to University Park.
Hill is believed to be the only prospect making an official visit to the Nittany Lions this weekend.
At this point, the Wolverines and Spartans still appear to be the leaders for Hill’s services. But getting him back on campus has to be considered a positive for James Franklin and Penn State.
