Penn State Batting Cleanup With Jersey DT Michael Dwumfour

The Nittany Lion commit raised some eyebrows by taking an official visit to Michigan. But he'll be in Happy Valley next weekend.

Penn State defensive tackle commit Michael Dwumfour is back from his official visit to Michigan.

The Wolverines are working hard to flip the DePaul Catholic (Wayne, N.J.) senior standout. Dwumfour was in Ann Arbor with his parents over the weekend.

“It was great,” Dwumfour said. “My parents and I loved the visit at Michigan.”

They did not love it enough for the three-star prospect to flip his commitment on the spot, though.

Asked if the Wolverines overtook PSU, Dwumfour said, “I don’t know,” but added that he is still a Nittany Lion commit. As for questions about whether his Michigan offer is committable, he replied, “Of course it is committable.”

Dwumfour is taking his official visit to Penn State next weekend, when a host of other Nittany Lion commits and targets will be on campus.

“I'll be making my final decision after the Penn State visit,” he said.
